Product Description
Kikuhime is a portable sub-bandage pressure monitoring device. A sensor connected to the monitor is positioned beneath a bandage for the accurate (+/-1mm Hg) determination of pressure. It is easy to use and gives remarkably accurate results*. This device is an essential tool for practitioners wishing to ensure that the correct level of sub-bandage pressure is being achieved to improve venous return and promote the healing of venous leg ulcers.

Use
Kikuhime can be used for training, evaluation of technique, audit, research and routine patient monitoring. By using the slip sheet provided to facilitate removal of the sensor, techniques for checking the pressure achieved beneath a patients bandage can be developed without the subsequent need to remove the bandage. Although primarily designed for the measurement of sub-bandage pressure (small sensor recommended) Kikuhime can be used for a variety of other pressure related checks e.g. determining sacrum pressure (large sensor recommended).
