BJN Awards 2012
3rd of April 2012Friday night saw the return of the BJN Awards at the stunning Landmark in London to celebrate nursing excellency across a variety of specialisms. Advancis Medical sponsored the Tissue Viability Award again this year and took along several guests to the event. We find it such an honour to be sponsors for such an excellent acknowledgement of what great work Tissue Viability nurses do and to really celebrate their hard work and dedication.
European Wound Management Association (EWMA) Conference, Belgium
8th of June 2011On 10 January 2011 the Patents County Court ruled that Apimed Medical Honey Limited’s claims for patent infringement against Brightwake Limited had been unsuccessful.
Apimed began proceedings against Brightwake on 3 November 2009, alleging that Brightwake’s ALGIVON honey dressings infringed its UK patent for a specific class of honey dressing. The trial was heard in the Patents County Court in July 2010.... Read the full story here...
Wounds International South Africa 2011
15th of February 2011Advancis Medical recently attended the first Wounds International conference in Cape Town, South Africa. Approximately 400 delegates were in attendance.
Our attendance at Wounds International also presented an opportunity to meet with our newly appointed distributor, Ample Resources, Sybil Seoka and her sales representative Sandy Sefike. We did see an increasing number of South African clinicians who will provide invaluable leads for the Ample Resources team to follow-up - very useful.
We look forward to working more closely with Wounds International in the future.
